GRN Community Service Board offers benefits through the State of Georgia. Salaried employees scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are eligible to enroll.
Health Benefits
Under the State Health Benefit Plan, employees may choose single
or family coverage in one of several Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO's),
HMO's (where available), or an indemnity plan. Each plan offers a full range of
benefits, including prescription drug coverage. GRN CSB pays approximately 75% of the cost
of the health plans. Employee costs will depend on the coverage and options chosen.

Retirement/Deferred Compensation Program
Employees who work at least 1000 hours per year participate in the Employees' Qualified Trust (401k) IRS qualified retirement deferred compensation plan. GRN contributes 7.5% of each employee's salary into the 401k plan. Employees may also contribute via payroll deduction up to the maximum allowed under IRS regulations. GRN employees participate in the 401k plan in lieu of the Social Security retirement program. They do continue to pay for the Medicare portion of Social Security via mandatory payroll deduction.
Employees are fully vested for the employer portion of 401k contributions after 6 years of employment, with partial vestment on a percentage basis after 2 years.
