SERVICES Child and Adolescent (C&A) Program Dedicated to addressing the needs of youth with severe emotional difficulties through community-based services, the C&A Program is designed to keep families together and prevent unnecessary residential placement. The program works with parents as partners to design a unique plan for each child that wraps community support around children and their families. These "wrap-around" services can include home-based counseling, service coordination and consultation with other community agencies. C&A clinicians provide extensive consultations with DFACS, juvenile courts and schools. Family advocates assist families in accessing resources and services. Behavioral aides work with youth and their families on specific targeted behaviors. Intensive home-based services are available for families with youth who are at risk of being removed from the home due to the child's severe disruptive behavior. Respite services are provided for families whose child is experiencing a serious crisis that necessitates a temporary separation. For youth who require out-of-home placement, specially trained and supervised treatment parents are available to provide the necessary care and supervision.
